I cut the words and figures on fashion magazines, and pasted on the canvas. And I painted acrylics and varnish on that.
This work was exhibited at “The 54th Graduation Work Exhibition and Thesis Presentation
of the Graduate School of Education and the School of Education”.

Fashion magazines show us variety of fashion, but every girls in magazines look slim, beauty and fashionable with high brand clothes.
It is not matter fashion genres, it is already shown “girls icon” to us to follow.
The terrible point of fashion magazine is telling that is as if common rule in the world.
Fashion magazines for women tell “Improving looks and femininity bring happiness” and teach how to be loved by men, be popular, be like a model, etc.
I used dozen of magazines of various genres to make this work.
But, unfortunately all of magazines, except a few exceptions tell that I mentioned above.
I felt it was grotesque.
I felt the power of brainwashing of media.
It was as if I was being shown the images of girls those are desired by society.
